Build a powerful online presence for your business!

In the digital world we all live in today, nearly everyone uses the internet as their number one resource to connect, research, and socialize. What does this mean for a small business? This means that your website can be one of the most valuable tools for your business. Often times small business owners think that they don't need a website, or that it's just a one-and-done task. This is where a lot of businesses go wrong. With 87% of people using the internet on a daily basis, having a good website and online presence is critical to business success.

As of 2016, nearly half of small business owners still do not have a website. Why? That's a great question. According to a report released by Clutch* a business-to-business research firm, one-third of small business owners who didn't have a website thought that it wasn't relevant to their business or industry.

Think about this... When you need someone to fix a leaky pipe, what's the first thing you do? Google it. When you are looking for a good furniture store in the area, what's the first thing you do? Google it. When you need to find an auto-mechanic to fix your car, what's the first thing you do? Google it. The point that I am making here is that no matter what your industry is, if you have customers, you must have an online presence. Even if it is just a basic informational website, your business needs to be where people look first.

Now, as a small business owner, here's what you can do...

Graphic with pie chart on amount of small businesses with and without websites.
  1. Get ahead. Have a good website made now while the online competition is low. Almost 50% of small businesses still don't have websites. If you have a professional website, more people will find you and be more likely to do business with you.

  2. Stay up-to-date. If you already have a website, make sure to keep it current. Since the internet is one of the most valuable resources for consumers, keeping your website updated will benefit you in the long run.

  3. Engage. Use your website as a tool to engage with your customers and give them the best experience possible. Make it easy for them to contact you or find the information they are seeking.

Regardless of your industry, having a good online presence will benefit your business. Don't wait till it's too late.
